MEK: conclusions of the CoRAP evaluation

On 20 May 2026, ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) announced the publication of the conclusions of the assessment of Butanone (INCI: MEK), carried out by Sweden as part of the Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP). This could result in the substance being classified as toxic to reproduction.

Hydroxycitronellal, Glyoxylic Acid: Requests for Opinions to the SCCS

Acetophenone: preliminary Opinion of the SCCS

Following the opinion of the RAC (Risk Assessment Committee) of the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency), which recommended classifying Acetophenone as Rep. 1B, the Commission mandated the SCCS to assess the safety of the substance in cosmetics.
