Deltamethrin: proposal of CLH classification

On July 7, 2026, ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) published Sweden’s proposal for the harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) of deltamethrin, an ingredient already suspected of acting as an endocrine disruptor.

CLH classifications: two consultations, one intention

On July 1, 2026, ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) announced the launch of two consultations on proposals for harmonized classification and labeling (CLH), one for Dimethyl Imidazolidinone and the other for Benzyl Benzoate. It also published a new classification intention for Butyrolactone, a fragrance ingredient.

Trimethylolpropane: Intention of CLH classification

On 24 June 2026, ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) announced Norway’s intention to introduce the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of Trimethylolpropane, specifically in Repr. 1B.

REACH restriction on Octocrylene: consultation on the ECHA SEAC Opinion

On 17 June 2026, ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) launched a 60-day consultation on the draft opinion of its Socio-Economic Analysis Committe (SEAC) regarding the proposal to restrict Octocrylene put forward by France. The consultation is open for comments and contributions until 17 August 2026.

n-Phenyl-p-Phenylenediamine: Proposal of CLH classification

On 17 June 2026, ECHA (the European Chemicals Agency) forwarded Belgium’s proposal for the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of n-Phenyl-p-Phenylenediamine, a hair dyeing ingredient.
