The EU "Deforestation-free" Regulation in the time of simplification
Following the agreement reached between the European co-legislators in December 2025, the Commission published, on 4 May 2026, a report on the simplification of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, known as the “Deforestation-free” Regulation or EUDR, along with a series of additional measures aimed at ensuring smoother implementation by the time it enters into force on the 30 December 2026.
