"Deforestation-free" Regulation: the new European Commission's Guidance Document
On 20 July 2026, the Commission published a new edition of its “Guidance document for Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products” in the Official Journal of the European Union, replacing the 2024 version.

Published in March 2024, Directive (EU) 2024/825, which aims to “empower cconsumers for the green transition through better protection against unfair practices and through better information,” is due to come into force on 27 September 2026.
