
On December 12, 2025, the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) launched a consultation on the 52nd Amendment to its Standards. This date also marks the start of the period for the new provisions to come into force. The consultation is open until June 12, 2026.
The consultation covers three aspects:
• all 69 Standards affected by changes (new and revised),
• the update of the Guidelines for the use of Standards,
• a detailed appendix compiling contributions from other sources, including information on presence in natural ingredients.

40 new restriction Standards to address potential dermal sensitization effects, with additional evaluation of systemic toxicity endpoints
