IFRA notifies the 52nd amendment to its Standards
On December 12, 2025, the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) launched a consultation on the 52nd Amendment to its Standards. This date also marks the start of the period for the new provisions to come into force. The consultation is open until June 12, 2026.
Reminder: final step in the implementation of IFRA 51
On 30 June 2023, the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) notified the 51st amendment to its Standards. 28 months later, on 30 October 2025, the new Standards of specifications and restrictions come into force for existing creations.
IFRA launches its 2024 VoU survey
On 28 March 2024, IFRA (the International Fragrance Association) announced the launch of its 2024 VoU (Volume of Use) survey. Carried out around every four years, its aim is to compile comprehensive data on the volumes of fragrance ingredients utilized in the production of fragrance mixtures. All relevant companies are invited to participate.
Reminder - IFRA 51: entry into force of the Specification and Restriction Standards
On 30 June 2023, the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) notified the 51st amendment to its Standards. 9 months later, on 30 March 2024, the new Standards of specifications and restrictions come into force for new creations.
IFRA notifies the 51st amendment to its Standards
The notification letter is dated 30 June 2023, and this date opens the deadline for the new provisions to come into force. A total of 59 fragrance substances are affected by this 51st amendment to the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) Standards, which also includes a number of interpretative clarifications for their use.
