Reminder: application of S.I. 2023/764 in Great Britain
This is the final provision of Statutory Instrument 2023 No. 764, entitled The Cosmetic Products (Restriction of Chemical Substances) Regulations 2023, which comes into force on 6 July 2026. It imposes restrictions on the use of methyl-n-methylanthranilate, a fragrance ingredient.
The U.S. FDA adds a filter to its Sunscreen Monograph
This is a major development, the likes of which haven’t been seen since the late 1990s: the U.S. FDA has just issued a Final Order to add a UV filter to Monograph M020 on sunscreen products.
