The beauty category is ending 2025 on a positive note. According to Circana, the sector has held up well throughout the year and continues to grow as the holiday season approaches.
According to Circana, all categories of luxury beauty products saw growth on Black Friday.
This growth is expected to continue throughout the fourth quarter.
Perfume, an essential part of the holiday season
This period is particularly favorable for perfume. Circana points out that 25% of annual sales of luxury perfumes are made in December.
The data indicates an interest in strong concentrations, such as eau de parfum and extracts. Consumers are also turning to body sprays, scented lotions, and shower gels.
Gift sets and miniature formats in high demand
Gift sets confirm their status as a safe bet. According to Circana, these formats are currently performing well in all beauty categories.
Another growing segment is miniatures.
Makeup, skincare, and haircare drive growth
Driven in part by trends on social media, certain makeup products are experiencing renewed interest. Circana has observed particular momentum around lip pencils, which are establishing themselves as must-haves for the season.
“Skincare products continue to sell well during the holiday season. LED facial devices are among the most dynamic segments, while hair care products are also supporting growth,” observes Circana.
