On October 22 and 23, the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will be in Paris for its 17th European edition. Organized by Ecovia Intelligence, the event will bring together key players in the industry to examine how artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and innovations in formulation and packaging are transforming sustainability practices in beauty.
The first session will focus on the rise of artificial intelligence, which is now at the heart of research, development, and marketing strategies.
AI is used to design more sustainable formulas, optimize packaging, and personalize beauty experiences while reducing waste.
Biotechnology will also be one of the key topics, with a focus on the new avenues it is opening up for the production of sustainable ingredients through precision fermentation, synthetic biology, and plant cell culture.
The program will also address the development of neurocosmetics, skincare products formulated to act on the connections between the skin and the nervous system, as well as tools for measuring and reducing the environmental footprint of products, such as the EcoBeautyScore benchmark.
Finally, a session dedicated to sustainable packaging will review European regulatory advances and material innovations, including bio-based, recyclable, and compostable alternatives.
