On March 19, 2026, Cosmetic Valley will host the 7th edition of the Olfaction & Perspectives conference in Bois-Colombes, in partnership with ISIPCA. The event, which will also be streamed online, will bring together nearly 200 researchers, industry representatives, clinicians, and fragrance professionals to discuss scientific and technological advancements related to the sense of smell.
Now a well-established event in the field of olfactory science, the conference aims “to shed light on the mechanisms of odor perception, their applications, and the innovations they inspire across various sectors.”
Throughout the day, lectures, discussions, and “short talk” sessions will explore major developments in the field of olfaction. The program will revolve around several major themes. The first session will be dedicated to the factors that influence odor perception.
Other presentations will address olfactory rehabilitation, a rapidly developing field of research aimed at restoring or stimulating this sense. The challenges of sustainable formulation and raw material extraction will also be central to the discussions, with a focus on new methods that combine olfactory performance with environmental commitment.
Finally, several presentations will explore emerging technologies (data, artificial intelligence, and sensory measurement tools) that are transforming approaches to fragrance creation and analysis.
In addition to the scientific conferences, the day will also feature an immersive session dedicated to sensory experimentation. A tasting session will allow participants to explore the connections between aromas and fragrances during a mixology workshop.
