Good night, beauty addicts!

Bonne nuit, les beauty addicts !

Sleep is a key factor in skin repair and regeneration. But are women consumers sleeping as well as they’d like? Foresight firm The Benchmarking Company surveyed 4,000 American women to better understand their expectations when it comes to beauty products designed to enhance their night-time routine.

Sleep, a real concern

97% of respondents report occasional, frequent or systematic sleep problems.
A total of 93% said they had difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up feeling rested. “This lack of rest impacts not only mood, energy and concentration, but also the condition of the skin”, comments The Benchmarking Company. “Faced with this finding, 74% of women surveyed would be willing to spend between $100 and over $2,000 a year on effective solutions to improve their sleep.”

For 100% of respondents, lack of sleep has a direct impact on overall health, skin condition and hair quality. 98% say they feel better about themselves after a good night’s sleep.
95% are interested in skin care products designed to work during the night, and 76% of respondents say they already use skin or hair care products specifically formulated for the night.
American women consider these treatments to be more effective because they take advantage of the body’s natural cellular repair cycles (97%), and also help to relax (66%) and even improve overall health (57%).
