New governance for the Cosméthèque

Nouvelle gouvernance pour la Cosmétothèque

At the beginning of this year, La Cosmétothèque embarked on a new phase of development with a change in governance and the gradual implementation of new guidelines. This new governance structure is part of a collaborative effort between academia and the private sector, with the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA) as its academic partner. Professor Anne-Marie Granet will serve as its president.

The Cosmétothèque will thus complement the Cosmethics program, which has already been active at the university for several years. The goal is to improve the site’s readability and facilitate access to resources on the history and techniques of cosmetics. This development aims to enhance the clarity of the offering, the structure of the content, and editorial consistency in order to promote the transmission of knowledge in the field of cosmetics.

A reorganized website for smoother access

The website is undergoing a redesign to better organize content and improve editorial and visual quality. The goal is to provide clearer and more consistent access to the various areas of the cosmetics industry covered, in order to facilitate research and professional or academic use.

Bibnum now online

The Cosmétothèque digital library, Bibnum, is now available online. It offers an initial selection of digitized works, which can be consulted in strict compliance with copyright law, with a limited number of pages per title in accordance with regulations. Researchers, students, and professionals can request extended access by writing to cosmetotheque@gmail.com. Each request will be reviewed individually.
