From July 15 to 17, 2025, Cosmoprof North America brought the beauty industry together in Las Vegas. As it does every year, the forecasting agency Beautystreams published its CosmoTrends report, a comprehensive guide to the innovations spotted at the show.

This year, trends highlight targeted solutions for skin and hair, the rise of cutting-edge active ingredients, and the growing integration of technology into routines.

Skin Peace
Sensitive skin is becoming a priority. According to Dermatology Times, 129 million people suffered from atopic dermatitis in 2021, a figure that could reach 148 million by 2050. 71% of the world’s population is affected, an increase of 55% in twenty years. “Brands are now putting formulas for sensitive skin at the forefront, with ingredients that strengthen the skin barrier, soothe, and promote healing,” says Beautystreams.

PDRN Power
PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide, a molecule composed of DNA fragments) is moving out of the field of injectable treatments and into cosmetic formulas. Derived from salmon or sturgeon DNA, it stimulates cell regeneration and healing.
Beautystreams also notes “the arrival of vegan versions, based on ingredients such as Korean mugwort, which are paving the way for a new generation of regenerating skincare products.”

Super Masks
Face masks are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Biodegradable hydrogel, silver ion patches that diffuse heat, gels that change color when absorbing active ingredients, and instant-effect liquid masks: innovations abound.
