For the third consecutive year, SeeMe Index, in partnership with Circana, has scrutinized more than 200 cosmetic brands sold in the United States to compile its list of the most inclusive brands.

To compile this ranking, SeeMe Index uses artificial intelligence technology that evaluates each brand based on three equally weighted criteria: advertising content (social media, YouTube, TikTok, Meta, Google), product offerings (color ranges, terminology, website features), and brand commitments (initiatives, partnerships, donations, public announcements).
Each brand is assigned an inclusivity score, or “IQ Score,” which determines its ranking in one of the following four categories.

Certified Inclusive (score above 200)
These brands are at the forefront of inclusion. They excel in advertising, products, and commitments, and demonstrate an inclusive approach that is deeply ingrained in their DNA.

Acts Inclusive (score between 160 and 199)
These brands are actively working toward inclusion and have made significant progress.

Feels Inclusive (score between 120 and 159)
These brands are taking inclusive measures, but their efforts remain uneven across criteria and identity groups.

Thinks Inclusive (score below 120)
These brands show signs of intent, but their efforts have not yet fully materialized.
