Cosmetics trends: rising signals for 2026/2027
Mintel (a market research firm) and Black Swan Data (a specialist in online conversation analysis) have just released their report, “Beauty & Personal Care Demand Signals.” Based on an analysis of more than 16 million online posts about the U.S. beauty and personal care market, the report identifies several trends that are expected to shape the market in the coming months.
Beauty: which categories are gaining ground online in 2026?
To map the state of the global cosmetics market, the market research firm Spate analyzed search data from Google, TikTok, and Instagram from March 2025 to February 2026. The findings are clear: not all categories are growing at the same pace.
Celebrity brands: between worship and disillusionment
Why do some celebrity-founded cosmetics companies manage to build lasting customer loyalty, while others disappear from store shelves just as quickly as they appeared? That is the question Mintel asks in its latest report, produced in partnership with Black Swan Data.
Boots breaks down the top beauty trends of 2026
