On March 19, 2026, the 17th edition of U’Cosmetics will be held as usual at UCO Bretagne Nord. Both a student competition and a professional conference, this year’s event will focus on the theme of “well-aging cosmetics”.
Created seventeen years ago by UCO Bretagne Nord, U’Cosmetics is billed as the leading student competition for innovation in cosmetics. Open to teams of 1 to 5 students, it aims to bridge the gap between academic training and industry expectations, with a new theme each year.
The 2026 edition highlights the trend of “well-aging”, presented as an evolution of traditional anti-aging codes. The organizing team emphasizes that it is no longer a question of “fighting against time, but of accompanying the different stages of life through adapted formulas, innovative active ingredients, and sensory textures.”
The competing teams will vie for four separate prizes:
• 1st Prize for Formulation Innovation
• 2nd Prize for Formulation Innovation
• Prize for Innovative Concept
• Philippe Collas Special Prize (awarded by the public)
Over the course of its many editions, U’Cosmetics has received more than 400 applications, nominated 167 student groups, awarded 61 prizes, and involved 28 participating schools.
