
As announced, Health Canada has just updated its product declaration form to bring it into line with the new requirements introduced by the recent amendments to the Cosmetic Regulations. And the Agency is reminding that any notification that is no longer up to date must be revised…
In a communication issued at the end of January 2025, Health Canada announced the update of this form and detailed all the points concerned.
The revised form has now been updated and is available online.
Health Canada points out that it includes qunctionality that validates and requires a Canadian address for the manufacturer, or the importer be present in section 4. It is now compulsory to provide an address in Canada, both for new declarations and for those previously submitted.
The Agency also states that, in addition to the information for the manufacturer or importer, he information about the label contact is always required.
And reminds that when the information provided in a cosmetic notification becomes inaccurate, the manufacturer or importer must provide a revised cosmetic notification within 10 days after the information provided in the original notification became inaccurate.
Finally, to guide stakeholders in completing the online form, the Guide for Cosmetic Notifications and Annex 2 have also been updated and are available online.
