
The phased measures of Statutory Instrument 2024 No. 1334, published by Great Britain on December 17, 2024, continue to come into effect on October 20, 2025. Reminder.
Statutory Instrument 2024 No.1334](@@LINK-69132@@) bans 64 CMR substances (eight of which have INCI names) in England, Wales and Scotland, and places new restrictions on kojic acid.
Some of these provisions are applicable from this 20 October 2025.
The following are now prohibited for products made available on the market:
• Methylene Di-T-Butylcresol and MIBK (already banned in Europe since December 17, 2022),
• Benzophenone, Theophylline, Trimethylolpropane Triacrylate, Azadirachta Indica Seed Extract, Melamine (already banned in Europe since 1st December 2023).
The ban is applying since April 20, 2025 for products placed on the market.
