In their report “The Future of Beauty,” data platform Spate and creative forecasting agency Future Snoops identify five major trends set to transform the beauty industry by 2030. Based on an analysis of more than 900 billion search signals (Google, TikTok, and Instagram), the report provides an overview of new consumer expectations.

The report is based on Spate’s Popularity Index, which combines data from Google Search, TikTok, and Instagram to measure emerging trends in beauty. The analyses were conducted from July 2024 to June 2025.

Inclusive Beauty Tech
Cosmetic innovation can no longer ignore diversity. According to the report, “inclusive brands grew 1.5 times faster than their less inclusive competitors in 2024.”
Yet 95% of consumers with disabilities believe there are not enough accessible beauty options, and only 4% of brands say they design for neurodivergent profiles. “Without intentional design, innovation risks reinforcing the same systemic exclusions,” warns Future Snoops.

The Convenience Marketplace
Consumers, who are often in a hurry, are looking for simple, effective, and versatile products that can meet multiple needs in a single step. They want all-in-one formulas that are easy to carry and use.
According to the report, 67% of American women want multifunctional products, a desire that is particularly strong among millennials and Gen Z.
For Future Snoops, this means “designing desirable, compact, and smart objects” that combine performance, portability, and visual appeal.
