From 13 to 15 July 2026, Cosmoprof North America brought the beauty industry together in Las Vegas. As with every edition, the trend forecasting agency Beautystreams has published its CosmoTrends report, a guide to the innovations spotted at the trade fair. This year, five major trends have emerged, ranging from cellular longevity and next-generation sun protection to scalp care, hybrid styling products and collagen.
NAD+ Boost
NAD+ is establishing itself as a leading anti-ageing active ingredient. This molecule, which occurs naturally in the body, is recognised for boosting the skin’s cellular energy and its ability to repair itself.
Haute Sun
Sun protection is becoming a cornerstone of skincare routines. The formulas showcased at the trade fair feature fluid, serum-like textures that are easy to reapply throughout the day, delivering a light, velvety finish.
Some even target the scalp. The global suncare market is expected to grow from $15.5 billion in 2025 to $19.4 billion in 2030, representing an average annual growth rate of 4.7 per cent.
Scalp Zoning
The scalp is emerging as a skincare category in its own right. Consumers are increasingly coming round to the idea that looking after the scalp improves the quality of the hair.
The scalp care market, valued at $15.81 billion in 2026, is expected to reach $25.88 billion by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.3 per cent. The rise in GLP-1-based treatments is also fuelling this trend, as hair loss can result from these treatments.
