In its latest trend report, Perfect Corp. a specialist in AI and augmented reality technologies applied to beauty, unveils the major directions for the spring 2025 season. Based on analysis of data from YouCam applications and a consumer survey, the report highlights beauty trends and how artificial intelligence is becoming a key lever for ever more personalized experiences.
“Consumers today expect shopping experiences to be intelligent, immersive, and tailored to their individual needs,” observes Perfect Corp. “AI plays a key role in providing targeted recommendations, while simplifying decision-making in an increasingly vast and complex shopping universe.”
Go for natural
On YouCam augmented reality apps, the most-tried looks this spring are rosy cheeks, pearly highlights (on eyelids) and pastel shades.
Cool brown or taupe blushes are also in vogue, as they “sculpt features while maintaining the ‘no-makeup makeup’ effect.”
Beauty consumption increasingly guided by AI
The study reveals a growing adoption of AI tools to support purchasing decisions.
93% of those surveyed have already used or want to try out an AI-based shopping assistant.
Four out of five users say they are satisfied with the product found via an AI assistance. “Intelligent tools are no longer perceived as gadgets, but as true beauty co-pilots, capable of effectively guiding towards the right product,” Perfect Corp points out.
Among the expected uses of AI, Internet users would like to have access to :
help in creating skincare and make-up routines,
personalized suggestions for shades and textures,
assistance in choosing the right active ingredients for hair and skin care.
