This biomimetic molecule, naturally produced by the skin, changes with age: its quantity and quality deteriorate, its degradation accelerates, and its distribution becomes uneven.
Hyaluronic acid is continuously renewed but broken down by an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Over time, the production and activity of this enzyme increase, accelerating the breakdown of hyaluronic acid and limiting the lasting effect of cosmetics.
